Brothers Christos & Kostas Takas began their careers In Greece were they learned baking and pastry skills. Building from their 30+ years of combined experience, on their arrival to Canada, they were determined to offer the same delectable foods to the local market, as generations before them have enjoyed back in their homeland.

It wasn’t much time after, that Chris Takas and his wife Sophie Kottas along with his brother Kostas, opened a Greek Pastry & Bakery Shop in the heart of the Greek community. It soon became apparent that the Bakery’s popularity was poised to set a standard in high quality pastries and breads, which to this day, are all prepared on the premises. Serano takes pride in carefully selecting the highest quality ingredients to guarantee a product that will never disappoint! In fact, it is this same attention to quality that has made Serano such a popular Bakery across the Toronto Metropolitan basin. Food Editors rave about the pastries they have tried!
